With over five years of experience in journalism, fact-checking, and media literacy training, Naol brings a sharp analytical lens to the evolving digital landscape. His multilingual fluency—spanning English, Amharic, Afaan Oromo, and French—makes him a versatile communicator and a vital bridge to Ethiopia’s diverse audiences. These language skills enhance MFC’s ability to counter disinformation and promote credible narratives across regions and communities.
Naol has trained hundreds of journalists, media practitioners, and communication experts in disinformation countermeasures, public relations, and ethical reporting. His workshops and mentorship programs have helped build a resilient media ecosystem equipped to navigate digital threats and uphold journalistic integrity. His leadership extends beyond MFC through his role as Fellowship Lead and Training Coordinator for the Africa Fact-Checking Fellowship – Ethiopia Project, where he empowers emerging fact-checkers across the region.
A graduate of Addis Ababa University with a Bachelor of Arts in French Literature and Professional Skills, Naol blends academic insight with practical expertise.
