Bio:

Habib Kaysay is currently serving as a Resident Fellow at MultiFact Check (MFC). He leads backbone device maintenance and cybersecurity architecture for the Public Officials Data Bank Program, an initiative dedicated to preserving authenticated records of public officials to advance transparency and accountability. 

Mr. Kaysay is a seasoned network engineer and cybersecurity expert with over 15 years of experience in designing, securing, and maintaining high-performance digital infrastructures. His career spans elite institutions, including Harvard University, Akamai Technologies, and the U.S. Peace Corps Ethiopia, as well as collaborations with health and IT nonprofits across East Africa. His expertise encompasses network engineering, systems administration, and digital asset protection, bolstered by certifications such as Cisco CCNP, Juniper Engineer, and Microsoft Professional.

A graduate of Mekelle University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Kaysay has further honed his skills through specialized training in Squid Proxy configuration (Cape Town) and Alcatel telecommunications systems (Nairobi). At MFC, he combines technical rigor with strategic vision to fortify the organization’s digital resilience, ensuring data integrity and scalable security for critical transparency platforms.
