Aynalem Nigussie was appointed Minister of Revenue, leading the country’s revenue collection, tax administration, and fiscal policy enforcement.
Aynalem holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
Before her appointment, she served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia from May 2023, contributing to strategic financial governance and institutional oversight. Her career includes experience in finance, management, and public sector administration.
As Minister of Revenue, Aynalem focuses on strengthening revenue mobilization, improving tax administration, implementing fiscal reforms, and ensuring transparency and efficiency in public finance. Her leadership emphasizes modernization of revenue systems and alignment with national economic development priorities.
