Shumete Gizaw is head of the Information Network Security Agency (INSA) since February 2020.
Shumete has a PhD in Geography and Environmental Studies from Addis Ababa University; MA in Development Studies from Norwegian University of Science and Technology-NTNU; and BA in Geography and Environmental Studies from Dilla University.
