Job Description:

We are seeking two highly skilled and experienced Factcheckers to join our dynamic team at MULTIFACTCHECK INC. The Factcheckers will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information using varies methods and tools at their disposal. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in fact-checking, journalism, or related fields. They must have also proven IT skills, including social media, and be able to work under tight schedules and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Verify content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
• Analyze trending data both offline and online
• Conduct thorough fact-checking to ensure the credibility of information.
• Collaborate with writers, researchers, and other team members to produce high-quality content.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in fact-checking.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as journalist, preferably in fact-checking or related areas.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with current events and a passion for accuracy in information.
• Strong media and information literacy, critical thinking skills and a keen sense of accuracy and truth

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Afaan Oromo, Amharic, Tigrigna, Somali, French, Spanish, and Arabic is an asset.

Work Environment: Remote/Hybrid

Payment: The payment will be made as per contribution for a fact-checked and published content.
