Kindu Gezu is the Head of Defense Office of Inspector General of Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF).

Prior to his current position, he was appointed, with the rank of Rear Admiral, as the chief commander of the Naval Force in 2019, to lead the reestablishment of the force. In November 2018, the Ethiopian Government announced to reestablish a naval force which was disband in 1991.

Kindu was promoted to the rank of Maj. General in January 2020. In September 2016 he was promoted to the rank of Brig. General by the former President Mulatu Teshome.
