Shuma Abdeta is the Chief Commander of Army Special Operations Force of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF).

Shuma was promoted from Maj. General to Lei. General in January 2022; and from Brig. General to Maj. General in February 2018. In 2017, with title of Brig. General, he served as Deputy Commander of South-East Command and Head of Human Resource Development.
