Getachew Gudina is the commander of North-Western Command of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF). He was promoted to a full General in January 2022.  Prior to his current position, Getachew was the Head of Defense Force Engineering Main Department of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF). He has also been the Commander of the Northern Command in 2018. Getachew was promoted to the rank of Lieu. General in January 2020.  In 2017, he was also the commander of ‘Agazi’ Special Force.
