Aisha Mohammed Mussa is the Minister of Irrigation and Lowland Development since October 2021. She was the Minister of Urban Development and Construction from April 2019-October 2021. She had also served as the Minister of Defense from October 2018-April 2019.

Aisha has BSc in Civil Engineering from Addis Ababa University. She has also an MA in Transformational Leadership and Change from University of Greenwich (UK).

In 2010, Aisha was appointed as head of Afar National Regional State Disaster Prevention and Food Security Coordination office. She the became the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia from October 2015-October 2018. Prior to assuming public offices, Aisha worked as an engineer in development projects run by the UNDP and GIZ.
