Gebremeskel Challa is the Minister of Trade and Regional Integration since October 2021. 

Prior to his current position, Gebremeskel was the Director General of Urban Job Creation and Safety Net Agency. He has also served as a state Minister at Minister of Construction (in charge of Technology Transfer, Capacity Building and Transformation). He was Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Kaizen Institute (EKI). He has served as Director General in Ethiopian Micro and Small Enterprises Development Agency.
