Desta Ledamo is the President of the Sidama Regional State. The Sidama state council elected Desta Ledamo as the President of the Region on September 30, 2021.
Desta has been serving as President of the Sidama Region since the inauguration of the state in June 2020.
The Sidama Regional State became the 10th Regional State in Ethiopia after a referendum was conducted in November 2019.
